My earliest memory of being an artist is when I was a 4 year old child using a blue ball point pen and a newsprint doodle pad from the five and dime store. I would draw all day long. In school I was known as the one who could draw. In high school I was voted most artistic. There was no question in my mind that this is what I was meant to do.

In 1994, on a whim, I designed and created a teddy bear... and somehow found myself designing and creating soft sculpture bears for the next 15 years.  There was a certain satisfaction in creating a successful career as a bear artist, winning many international awards. However, in 2009, I found my way back to art and I've never been happier.

I’m a member of The Chatham Creative Arts Center and formerly a juried member of The Cape Cod Art Center and The Pastel Society of Cape Cod. I draw or paint whatever inspires me. I enjoy working in many mediums; pastel, colored pencil, watercolor, gouache, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, acrylic and oil. Much of my recent work is drawing or painting birds and wildlife and the beautiful landscapes of Cape Cod.

I’m thrilled to be a part of the wonderful artist group at Eastwind Gallery, working together, collaborating, and inspiring each other creatively.
